8 Tips to ensure your Telehealth Hypnotherapy session runs smoothly

I am often asked about the effectiveness of Hypnotherapy through Telehealth. Drawing from my extensive experience as a Therapist, I can confidently affirm that it is indeed equally effective, provided that specific conditions are fulfilled. I have been conducting sessions through Zoom and, more recently, via my booking system's integrated video link for several years. It's worth noting that I have worked with clients from various locations, including interstate and overseas in countries such as New Zealand, Vietnam, Spain, Germany, Ireland, and the UK. For the Virtual Hypnotherapy sessions to run smoothly and be effective try to ensure you consider the following 8 tips:

  1. A quiet space where you won’t be interrupted

  2. Make sure pets are settled elsewhere, where they won’t e.g. bark wine, or jump up on you throughout the session

  3. Noise-cancelling headphones are ideal, ensure they are fully charged if they’re connecting via Bluetooth

    If you’re using your mobile phone to connect, if possible put it on Do Not Disturb mode, because on some devices incoming calls and messages can interrupt the session.

  4. If on a mobile ensure your screen saver is turned off, because sometimes if the phone is left unmoved during the hypnosis session the screen saver can come on causing the session to cut out

  5. Ensure that you can set the device you’re using down so that you can be hands-free

  6. Ensure that you have something that you can sit or lie down on in a stable position

  7. Ensure that you have a stable internet and/or wifi connection with a good signal to the room you’ll be attending the session in
