LEAP - A Holistic Approach to Emotional and Physical  Weight Loss Hypnosis

​​What is LEAP?
LEAP stands for Lighter Emotionally and Physically
LEAP is a unique therapy created by Clinical Hypnotherapist Georgina Mitchell, for people with more complex reasons for weight gain, which, therefore, require more support in establishing healthier default choices, clearing emotional baggage and blocks and setting permanently in place new, healthier ways, of dealing with life challenges without derailing their new healthier lifestyle choices.
 
Who is LEAP  for?

LEAP weight loss therapy is for people experiencing one or more complicating factors that can contribute to weight gain. Just a few examples are;

  • Chronic Stress

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Loneliness

  • Menopause

  • Chronic Illness

  • Grief/Loss/Divorce

  • Coming off Ozempic, Saxenda or other weight loss medications, who still need to resolve the underlying issues for gaining weight and develop the skills to maintain their weight loss

Food can become a subconscious strategy for creating temporary comfort and 'normality' while suppressing emotions.  The problem with suppressing emotions is that, like when you try to hold a beach ball underwater, it tends to pop up unexpectedly and sometimes with great force. It can take greater and greater effort and consumption to keep them suppressed.

How Does  LEAP Work?

  • LEAP consists of sessions tailored to each client’s requirements.   

  • The first session is about identifying the issues to be worked on and setting goals. 

  • We then break them down and prioritise

  • Each session is systematically dedicated to resolving and clearing the unresolved emotions and issues that keep you stuck and building the self-compassion and confidence that will enable healing and be the foundation for the mindset for success. 

  • You will learn and establish Healthier Behaviours and Strategies through the power of Hypnotic suggestion.

  • You will grow in confidence with the regular support provided as you learn the skills and techniques that will ensure you establish your new chosen lifestyle and enjoy weight loss both physically and emotionally.


Why Did I Develop Leap?
I've trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Professional Counsellor, a Life Coach and an EFT Practitioner, and done Post Graduate Studies in Counselling for Addictions and completed a Diploma in Nutrition.  My years of experience in helping people lose weight have taught me that weight loss is challenging for everyone, and my help will get them well on their way within a few sessions; however, for some people, there is the additional challenge of dealing with one or more significant life complication while trying to lose weight.  
For many, food or some other behaviour or addiction is fulfilling one or more needs other than nutrition, and until those needs have either been resolved or are being satisfied more healthily, they will continue to result in relapse, placing people back on the diet merry-go-round. These people will benefit from additional long-term support as they learn new ways to adapt and thrive in the face of significant life changes and/or events.
